Lazy Sunday on Boat

Belize Ten Day Forecast: 80 Percent chance of rain every single day!

I can’t believe the forecast but, apparently, this is the RAINY SEASON. It did rain through the night. We had the hatches open and Lily, sleeping underneath an open hatch, woke us up with “IT IS RAINING!” We scrambled around closing everything up.

Today, we are spending a lazy morning on the boat. Randall is charging up the batteries and reading “The Hobbit” to Lily. Lily is drawing chickens (ARCHER: Lily is doing the coolest Anime-style chicken combs. Wish you were here to draw with us!) I am trying my hand at some of those cool looking Island sharks that tattoo artists do. Jake is reading and playing cards.

We love Belize dwellings. The bamboo was left with a rough husk on which looked really cool.

Cay Caulker restaurant. There are no chain restaurants in Belize but hundreds of tiny little places with menus which change daily.

We are trying to decide how long to stay!! So much to see but the weather is not great for snorkeling and we are sort of ready to get to Rio Dulce and get settled in a marina for awhile. Will probably head to Guatemala pretty soon.
