Rainy Day Reading and Writing

It rained yesterday and we have more in the forecast today. This was actually good timing since we were behind in school and email and we are ready for a little sitting around the salon table with books, paper and computers. Plus, we have the air conditioner running and a fridge full of food so there is no reason not to settle in and listen to raindrops on the deck.

However, I have several pics of our sunny day fun which haven’t made it to the blog so here are a few more of pretty El Milagro and some sights around town.

While I am on the subject of weather, Randall checks the forecast everyday for a nice five-day weather window for heading to Key West. We are hoping for another stretch of calm weather since this crossing will be contrary to the prevailing easterlies. Hopefully patience will reward us soon and, in the meantime, the food here is tasty, the people friendly and a bottle of beer is a couple of dollars – not a bad way to wait out weather.

There are lots of murals on the island by Pangea Seed - http://pangeaseed.org/. They stayed here at El Milagro and also did some great work here.
